Canoe and Kayak rental launch site assistant
Part Time • Chicago
Four locations:
- The Chicago River at Clark Park, near Roscoe Village
- Skokie Lagoons, Winnetka (Cook County Forest Preserves)
- Busse Reservoir, Elk Grove Village (Cook County Forest Preserves)
- Lake Tampier, Orland Park (Cook County Forest Preserves)
Requirements:
- Launch site staff responsible for getting customers safely in and out of kayaks, canoes, row boats and fishing boats
- This is a physically demanding job. A ton of heavy lifting and lots of time working in the sun.
- We expect our staff to have top-notch customer service skills and an ability to patiently teach basic boating and safety
- A sense of empathy--being able to understand what our customers want, expect or need when they rent a boat from us
- A sense of humor and fun
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time; Seasonal through October 29
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
